Fat Lulu's Pasta Bar ("Fat Lulu's", "we", "us") is operated by Foodwood Inc., 314 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1X2. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. 1. What we collect

Information you give us.

Catering orders (online order builder): your name, email, phone number, company or organisation (optional), event date and serving time, pickup or delivery choice, delivery address (if you choose delivery), number of guests, the dishes you pick and an estimated subtotal, any notes or dietary needs you type in, how you heard about us (optional), and whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails (with the wording you agreed to and the time you agreed).
Catering inquiries (the quote form on our catering page): this form opens your own email app with your details filled in — name, company, email, phone, event date and time, number of guests, package, pickup or delivery, address and notes. We receive whatever you choose to send us by email.
Emails and calls: anything you send us directly, for example at info@fatluluspasta.com or by phone.

Payment information. Online catering payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's secure checkout page. Stripe collects your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of your payment and the order details needed to fulfil it.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider and the Google tags described below receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Our catering order builder also saves your cart in your own browser (local storage) so it isn't lost if you reload the page; this stays on your device.

2. Why we use it

To prepare, confirm, deliver and get paid for your catering order, and to contact you about it (for example on the day of your event).
To answer catering inquiries and send quotes.
To keep records of orders and payments, including for accounting and tax purposes.
To understand how people use our website and which ads lead to orders, so we can improve the site and our advertising.
To send you news, catering offers and promotions by email — only if you opted in.
To protect the site and our customers from spam and fraud, and to meet our legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as needed for the purposes above:

Netlify — hosts this website and receives the details you submit through the catering order builder.
Stripe — processes online payments. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Google — Google Analytics and Google Ads measure website visits and ad conversions (see Cookies below). Our homepage also shows an embedded Google Map. See Google's privacy policy.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada (for example in the United States), where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

Online food ordering. Our "Order delivery" and "Order for pickup" links take you to ordering pages run by third parties (Otter / order.store), and some pages link to Uber Eats. When you order there, that platform collects your information under its own privacy policy, not this one. Please review their policies.

4. Cookies and how to opt out

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site, and the Google Ads tag to measure when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to click an online-ordering link. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to recognise your browser across visits. The data they produce is used in aggregate; we don't use it to identify you personally.

Your choices:

Browser settings — you can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site still works without them.
Google ad settings — control how Google personalises ads for you at adssettings.google.com.
Google Analytics opt-out — install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Marketing emails

We only send news, offers and promotions by email if you tick the opt-in box when ordering (or otherwise give us permission). The box is never pre-ticked. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing info@fatluluspasta.com. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still email you about an order you placed.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records).

7. Your rights: access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless we're required to keep it). You can also withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email info@fatluluspasta.com and we will respond within the timelines required by law. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including using established service providers (Netlify for hosting, Stripe for payments), encrypted (HTTPS) connections on this website, and limiting access to the people who need it to handle your order. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new services. We'll post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
